Transition Year First Aid is a vital component of student learning in school. This course prepares students how to carry out life saving procedures that save lives both at home and in the public. The latest Irish Heart Foundation statistics state that 68% of sudden cardiac arrests in Ireland happen at home. These statistics can be read here. During the course transition year students will learn a broad range of medical and traumatic emergencies. The course instructors are registered health care practitioners from G.Ps to EMT / Paramedics.
